My purely imagined hypothetical hotel
research property is, exactly like the existing industry properties, looking at
reporting on the stream of money entering into and being spent back out of, the
business locally, nationally, and internationally. Two of the leading research firms
specializing in travel, tourism, hotels, and hospitality management, PKF and
STR, see valid reasons for optimism the remainder of our current year 2014,
myself asserting speculatively a continuing ebb and flow amidst the industy’s
returning to growing slowly profitability.
The assertion is based on our industry having known peak seasons and low
seasons, thus an ebb and flow, during our return to measurably better occupancy
rates between now and January of 2015.
