Hotels under STR’s research scrutiny were 56.2%
full last week when all the rooms were looked at grouped together. Percentages varied from individual property
to individual property.
On a truly frightening note, an African
hotel in Nigeria
was just reported by a major NY newspaper found on Google news as serving human
meat to their guests/clients.
Hyatt’s revenue per available room grew by
5.9%. “Looking ahead, we expect healthy
occupancy levels in the U.S.
to support increasing strength in room prices,” Mark S. Hoplamazian, Hyatt’s
president and CEO, said in a news release. “We expect to continue our asset
recycling program and deploy proceeds into key growth priorities in order to
drive guest and owner preference for our brands.” - See more at:
